10.0My stay at Empress Hotel was a most wonderful experience. Empress is located in a beautiful and safe city, Chiang Mai, and it's close to EVERYTHING. You can walk to many restaurants, and the major markets are all within a walking distance. The people of Chiang Mai are friendly, and the cost of living is low. The staff are so friendly and courteous. My birthday fell during my stay at Empress, and they lavished me with so many gifts! What an experience. I thank the staff for the outstanding hospitality.

8.0Large and older hotel with some character. Excellent value for the price. Lobby is very nice looking. Caters mainly to tour groups and not business traveler like me. Easy walking distance from major 5 stars international hotels where conferences are held.

8.0Beautiful lobby. Upon checkin they gave us a gift bag full of goodies. Room is good sized, beds are on the soft side. Too bad breakfast is extra. A long walk to old town and markets.

10.0I really enjoyed my stay the staff were excellent. The rooms were nice. The breakfast buffet was really good. A couple things I didn’t like was you had to pay to use the safe in your room. I also wish they had better dining options. They had a very limited menu in the restaurant. But other than that, my day was very good.
