Junk hole
2.0We booked a day resort excursion through Royal Caribbean in Roatán, Honduras, and it was by far the worst part of our cruise. The food was awful from the very beginning. The “snack” was hot dogs, hamburgers, and French fries — and it was literally inedible. Cold, low-quality, and clearly the cheapest food possible. Dinner was somehow even worse than lunch. Cheap food, poor presentation, and terrible service all around. The resort itself is extremely run down. It honestly looks abandoned in areas and very poorly maintained. Nothing felt clean, fresh, or inviting. The drinks were so watered down you could barely taste any alcohol — definitely not what you expect from an all-inclusive day pass. The biggest frustration? The photos online are a total bait and switch. What is advertised looks beautiful and well-kept. What you actually get is outdated, worn down, and nothing like the pictures. The beach was just okay, but even that was disappointing. There’s a steep drop-off just a few feet from shore, so most people couldn’t comfortably stand in the water. Not ideal if you’re trying to relax and enjoy the ocean. This excursion was a complete waste of money. We were extremely disappointed that Royal Caribbean even offers this as an option in Roatán. Save your money and choose something else.

Stay away
2.0Worst experience ever, hotel is really old and smells terrible, rooms are old, showers are moldy and rusty, the mini fridge had roaches in it, the food is the same every day, pool is cloudy not sure how often they clean it, and the worst worst part of this trip was the staff of the hotel, I never seem some many people hating their job, not one staff member was nice and they seem bothered when asked for something. They don’t play music at the only bar they have open, they advertised a pool bar, well it was closed my entire stay. Pictures they advertised are a lie. Stay away from this resort.
Picturesque views and clean beach!
10.0Evelyn lead our tour from NCL to Fantasy Island, she made the trip both coming and going from the port interesting with lots of fun facts about Roatan. The beach was incredibly clean, two crews worked to keep any seaweed off the sand so we could enjoy! The waiter was so impressive and had a cold drink ready to replace the old one before I asked! Even though we got some rain this was such a relaxing way to spend the day! Not a bit crowded either which made this even better.
Great diving, good resort
10.0We had a fantastic week at Fantasy Island. Resort staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a little dated but kept nice and clean. The lobby, lobby bar and restaurant are really nice. The food and drinks are good - what you would expect at a resort of this price point. We really enjoyed the boat and shore diving and had a blast in the water with DM Mainor who has eagle eyes for ocean life and did a great job leading safe, fun dives. If we return to Roatan, we will definitely stay at Fantasy Island again.
went to fantasy island and had the best time!!
