3.0Breakfast was ok, but expensive - wouldn’t recommend. The bed was comfortable Good to have ice machine. The adventure areas persons service was excellent
− The customer service was very poor. The information didn’t highlight that it has two levels and spiral stairs difficult for elderly to use. Staff suggested because it said ‘duplex’ I should have known. Even though duplex literally means 2. I had assumed it was two rooms - not on seperate levels. The hotel took no responsibility for this and blamed booking.com. Even though I know that they would have written the description. This all resulted in a stressful and uncomfortable stay. For a holiday I absolutely would not recommend. They shifted us to a room filled with mosquitos. I asked for bug spray. They said they would send a house keeper to spray, that didn’t happen. I got over 30bites and was wearing bug repellent. They shifted us - the next room was fine. Food is very expensive and not good - suggest going to nearby food trucks. The accomodation is very expensive for what it is and location is not great. I wouldn’t recommend staying here more than a night or two. If you do decide to stay here. I’m not sure why this is a four star accomodation. The amneties are average.

10.0Infinity pool sunsets
Incredible views, pool, ambiance, rectified problems, much needed renovation timely
7.0The pool area with a swim up bar and a small area to do some snorkeling, plus the view from the restaurant and pool area is incredible with views of dramatic Moorea. Our lagoon view room from third floor was also amazing. The hotel resolved our poor room situations after a day, which was nice, though inconvenient for a night. The decor is very lovely with the modern Polynesian vibe. The bathrooms were really tasteful, though some of the toilets were in a separate room, which for our less than mobile mom, was hard. The beds and sheets were very comfortable. We loved the kitchenettes in each of the rooms, making it helpful and useful. The storage in each room was abundant. Location to the airport and town and shopping was excellent (not too busy, but close).
− The website on Booking and on Te Moana neglected to mention any stairs in our suites, so we had to change of our rooms since our 90 year old mom is not able to climb stairs and has to have someone with her at all times. It was a big messy mix-up and caused us many problems. Also, three of our four rooms did not have air conditioning working properly, which was very bad since it was so hot. Our adult sons had to pull in mattresses into our bedroom so we could all sleep properly. The hotel resolved this after one night, but the first night was not comfortable. The hotel is going to start a major renovation, which is needed for infrastructure, I believe. There could be a little more wall art, and the doors inside the rooms are like outside doors which is off-putting and weird. If the rooms were not so long and narrow, it might not matter, but the big bulky doors made it feel kind of prison-like when walking through. The family suite overlooking the mountains was awkwardly designed and felt cold and sectioned off, as well as a bit loud with road and animal noise. Definitely choose the lagoon view if at all possible. Though, do not get a lagoon "view" on the first floor, as you mostly just see bushes. The included breakfast was tasty, but could use a bigger selection. Also, the "live cooking" was not available each day which was disappointing and made it not worth it.
