A good, stay in a convenient location, with a few areas that could be improved.
5.0The location is central and convenient. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the pool and spa were clean and well maintained. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with no major issues.
− Reception was often unattended with signs saying “Back in 15, 25 or 45 minutes,” including during the 2:00 pm check-in period. The beds were a little lumpy, and some maintenance repairs (such as the toilet lock) looked untidy. There is no dishwashing sink, so dishes must be washed in the bathroom sink or guests pay an extra $10 per day for room service. Parking bays are also too short for larger vehicles like utes. We also couldn’t find any information stating that cooking in the room with small appliances was prohibited. We purchased a small electric frying pan and only cooked bacon and eggs, but were later advised by a cleaner not to use it because cooking smells are difficult to remove. As the room includes a microwave, it wasn’t clear what was or wasn’t permitted. If cooking appliances are not allowed, this policy should be clearly stated before or during check-in to avoid confusion.
This is a $50 room at best, and if I saw it beforehand I’d have to be desperate.
