8.0− The sun beds arias was dirty. I stayed for one week and it wasn’t cleaned while I was there.
Good hotel
6.0We stay in Las Americas quite often but this was our first time in Parque La Paz. We already knew that the location was superb as it’s right off the Golden Mile and just a short walk deeper into Las Americas or Los Cris. You can also get a cheap bus from the nearby Zentral Centre if you’d like to visit Adeje. If you’re planning any day trips, they tend to depart from the nearby Hotel Best Tenerife, which is just a 5 minute walk around the corner. We stayed on a self catering basis so can only comment on the rooms in that sense. The room was clean and well set out. We had one bedroom and a third person stayed on the sofa bed. Room had a TV in the living area but nothing in the bedroom, despite having everything socket and aerial wise on the wall in the bedroom where the TV should have been; this would have been useful in the evening while lying in bed. The kitchen had no oven, which was a big omission for us. There was a microwave and a 2-hob worktop for pans. Cups and plates etc were sufficient. The biggest issue with the hotel if you’re considering staying here in the summer is that the rooms don’t have air conditioning. They all have ceiling fans but these just aren’t good enough in the summer heat and hot air is just circulating, which makes sleep quite difficult. We had a pool view, which was nice to look at, but was noisy until around midnight due to the main evening entertainment being situated on a stage to the side of the pool. If you’re planning to sleep early, or if you have kids, don’t request a pool view unless you’ve got some earplugs or a high tolerance to noise. The noise levels in the early hours were mostly non-existent but there were a few times when groups of people coming back at 03:30 were shouting but that was nothing to do with the hotel and is just luck of the draw with who is staying at the same time as you. During the day, the pool area was busy and there was a good atmosphere. They play lively music from 10am but the same playlist was repeated most days! The animation team aren’t the most active but did do a pool activity on a few afternoons. Be warned on a Thursday that a large inflatable slide is situated next to one part of the pool - if you’re on a sunbed, you’ll need to move because they don’t think to do this ahead of time to save you the hassle… Overall, the atmosphere was good all day. The hotel has signs around the pool stating that beds can’t be reserved and towels will be removed but this doesn’t happen. We found that most beds around the pool had towels on them by 07:30 so if you did want to lie by the pool, you’d need to begrudgingly join in by getting down there at the crack of dawn or you’d miss out. There are plenty of other beds down the side of the hotel though above the La Paz strip which had more availability. Would we stay here again? In the summer, we would definitely not stay here again due to the lack of air conditioning. It’s just not a comfortable experience. We would happily stay here in winter when it’s cooler and goes darker earlier. You could avoid the summer issue by hiring an air conditioning unit from a third party vendor if you’re so inclined.
Brilliant family holiday
9.0Location was bril, the rooms and complex was absolutely spotless and the staff (especially the guy on day time at reception)
− Noise from the road and no aircon
A perfect family place to stay with lots to do in and around the hotel
10.0It was over all the perfect place to stay with family. The cleanliness was to a high standard. The pool facilities were ideal couldn’t have asked for more. I was very impressed and will stay there again on our next trip.
− There wasn’t anything I could say, a mini freezer in the fridge would have been handy having a baby with us for our coolers but that’s only a minor thing.
Staying here now.
6.0Day 1 -on arrival was given a leaflet specifically stating reserving sun beds by putting towels out was not allowed and towels would be removed if this occurred. EVERY day by 8am all sun beds by the pool were reserved with no one sitting on them. Towels were NEVER removed. One day people didn’t not even come to the pool till 2pm. Another day I was sitting on my balcony and saw someone putting towels out at 11.30pm, ready for the next day. This spoils it for others who want to sit by the pool and the management does nothing to resolve this. I mentioned it to the receptionist. Staff who told me to put it in writing. Which I did. But don’t tell me this is not an ongoing issue. Management need to have a way of managing this situation so everyone can enjoy the pool.
