8.0Arrived on a Sunday afternoon in October, for a 2-night stay, only to learn that the spa is closed on Mondays. Sunday, we had a vast array of breakfast buffet items to ourselves, as we were apparently the only guests in this expansive hotel complex. We enjoyed 2 delicious dinners in dining room. Our bed was very comfortable; spacious bathroom. Very nice water view from our balcony, with Sicily in the distance. Staff were personable and helpful. Overall: EXCELLENT off-season value, although wind and rain prevented us from enjoying outdoor pool/facilities.

A dark cave!
2.0Warning‼️ You're living in a cave here! There are no windows, oxygen or light (only in the very high category)! The pictures were all taken with the room door open, which distorts the impression. These rooms were built without any windows (even in the bathroom, everything closed!). An absolute nightmare for me! On top of that, the bed is so uncomfortable that my shoulder pain was extreme after the first night. 2 nights were 2 nights too many! Appearances can be deceiving! The only positive thing is the breakfast, which is plenty even if you're on a carbohydrate-free diet, and of course the staff are very nice; they can't do anything about the architectural style! Apart from that, I don't understand the builder and architect of these buildings? We travel a lot, but I've never experienced anything like this before; I had to get over the shock first!
