9.0In a peaceful street full of lovely houses. The staff are very friendly, the bed comfortable and inviting. Fresh milk and plenty of teabags for one person. An attractive bar, but nobody else was there so I had to have Happy Hour by myself. I was still happy.
− A bit of noise through the walls. I could hear people in the next room sometimes. I had the small double room which was good for one person, maybe tight for two.
An excellent, friendly place to stay close to York Centre; Recommended to others.
9.0The location is excellent just a short stroll along the main road into York city centre. Our room was very nice, it was clean and comfortable with a good wall mounted TV and a kettle with tea and coffee provided. The bed was large and comfortable and we had a fan in the room which was very welcome as we stayed during a heatwave so we had an excellent nights sleep.. The bathroom was also very clean and had a good shower with plenty of hot water. The full english cooked breakfast the following morning was superb and the staff who served it were all very friendly, helpful and polite. A special mention for the supervisor Vicky who very kindly allowed us to leave our car in the car park to visit York centre for a few hours before we checked out without extra charge.
