Location is easy to find and there’s 7-11 nearby. Bathroom has travel accessories but it’s simple with not much room to place other items like booth brush or contact lens solutions. Also no hook. The AC unit in the room does not blow into the bathroom and there’s bright sunlight shrining through the window, so in short, freaking hot bathroom. Secondly all water pipes come out with burning hot water, no cold water! Room has a mini fridge. Ice machine is in a centralized location that you have to walk across the parking lot. Parking is not free. $11 for us for one night and they gave you a parking permit to hang inside the car. The front reception area is nice and clean. They have a bigger fridge that stores bottled water. There’s a microwave oven for community use and utensils. Coffee, hot water and tea bags are provided. No free breakfast.

I grew up in Encino and now reside on the East Coast. From 1971 to 1989, my relatives spent their winters at this property, which inspired me to stay here—and I’m so glad I did. The hotel has been thoughtfully updated with a chic retro aesthetic that honors its history while offering a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The value is excellent, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I’ve already rebooked for another stay in just over a week. The highlight of my visit was Gabriel at the front desk. He went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, and his kindness truly made a difference. Thank you, Gabriel, and my sincere appreciation to the entire staff. I look forward to returning soon.
