As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
5.0Breakfast was actually pretty good. Hot food was hot and dining area was clean. Coffee was also pretty good, though the coffee cups were very small. Needed several refills. Staff was friendly and pleasant.
− Smell throughout the building was pretty strong and hard to describe. In the room not as bad. The room itself didn't feel clean and was very humid. Bathroom floor felt "greasy". TV remote is impossible to figure out and frustrating at times. This hotel is very dated and needs an upgrade/revision badly.
10/10 will definitely stay again

Shoddily built, poorly maintained led me to not enough sleep; exit sign leads to no way out
4.0− The construction and maintenance of this building are lacking. I arrived late, after most people were asleep. But I was wakened at 6am by people leaving their rooms. There was noise with every closing door, and footsteps down the hall. I gave up going back to sleep. There was something rattling in my room even when I walked on the floor in shoes, but not barefoot. The toilet was wimpy and clogged. The sink handle was quite loose. There was mold on the caulk behind the sink splash guard. I had considered swimming laps in the pool, as it is longer than the typical hotel pool, but the peeling paint in it and the large amounts of rust in its room made me decide not to chance it. There were other bad things as well, but the clincher was that there is a staircase between the 1st and 2nd floors in the middle of the wings. There was an exit sign as well, but the exit sign was only one-sided (clearly designed for placement at the end of a hall, not the middle), and was placed not at the stairs, but at the elevators, which are inoperable in a fire. In other words, the exit sign would lead you into a death trap. This made me think there is corruption or total incompetence in the local building inspectors.
