A simply lovely hotel!
10.0We did not plan to stay here, but we needed a new place to stay for our remaining 4 nights. After some doubts we chose to stay here and boy, we did not regret it for a single moment. We were welcomed with a glass of Madeira wine at the reception desk. Then we were showed to our room (we never experienced that before). The room itself was very comfortable. Our room number was 1229, all the way at the end of the corridor on the 2nd floor. Is it a long corridor? Yes, but nothing to be worried of. Right next to us there was a some sort of childrens playground and some padel courts. Did we hear it? Yes we did. Was it disturbing? No, not at all. Breakfast was good. We were welcomed by the host every day in a very nice way. There were plenty of options to chose from, from bread to fried eggs, yoghurt, pancakes, etc. Was it the best breakfast ever? No it wasn't. But it was good enough to have a good start of the day. Oh I would recommend having breakfast outdoor with a lovely view on the ocean. The swimming pool was very nice and quite big for Madeira standards. There were plenty of beds right at the pool, so no worries about missing out on one. When we go back to Madeira in the future, we will for sure come back here again!
