very disappointed with the service

I am very disappointed with the service I received at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur, particularly with the manager on duty during the morning shift. We arrived at the hotel around 1:00 PM, which we understand is before the standard check-in time of 3:00 PM, so we didn’t mind waiting. We left our luggage with the bellman, Luqman, who was extremely helpful and professional. His communication was excellent and he made us feel welcomed. While waiting for our room, we spent time enjoying the garden and pool view. However, the real issue began after 3:00 PM when we returned to the reception counter to check if our room was ready. We approached the same manager, who simply told us that the room was still not ready, with no apology or clear explanation. His attitude was indifferent and unwelcoming, which was very disappointing. Shortly afterward, my husband approached another staff member named Donny at the reception. Donny also initially said the room wasn’t ready, but unlike the manager, he took immediate action. He politely said, “Give me 10 minutes,” then personally went to check the room. Within 10 minutes, he returned to us in the lobby with our room keys. Donny was friendly, fast, and had a very positive attitude. His excellent service stood in stark contrast to the poor handling by the duty manager. While we appreciated the hotel facilities and the helpful staff like Luqman and Donny, our overall experience was tainted by the unprofessional conduct of the manager on duty that morning. First impressions matter, and sadly, ours was not a good one.

Stay for wedding. Room clean except no attention was given to the cups for hot drink. Dirty. Had to complain.

Good sceneries but abit worn down inside the room

First of all, I want to say that I truly loved the greenery of the place, it was very relaxing and beautiful. However, since this is a 5-star hotel, I had high expectations, and there were a few issues that affected my stay. The basin had a problem, the stopper that closes the drain wouldn’t come up, so water couldn’t go down properly. I only noticed this late at night, so I didn’t request a room change. Also, the Bluetooth speaker in the room was not working. I called the technician, but was just told it couldn’t be fixed. I was staying there to celebrate my partner’s birthday and had requested some decorations. While I appreciated the effort, the heart-shaped flower petals felt a bit cringey rather than romantic. I hope this feedback helps you improve, as I really would love to come back in the future, just hopefully without these issues. Thank you.

I don't believe it's a 5 star hotel. First of all , the situation with the cockroaches in my bed , and the "denial" of you reception. ONly 2 days later that i escalated to our event organizers you went and asked / said sorry about it. You suggested to transfer me to airport ( i had already booked) you suggested me for late check out when you knew i was going out the hotel at 5 a.m . 1 day before ,i verified that i don't owe anything to you , and as i was going off the next day , you made me pay extra money for the tax of the hotel. When 1 day before it didn't exist ,and my bill was cleared. So no refunds , no suggestions, no giving me a percentage or at least take cover of the tax that you said that i hadn't pay . that's why i believe you are no 5 star hotel . the room was not clean , and many things didn't work . The hairdryer, the weight scale, the wc toilet was leaking water all the time. it's the worst experience i had ever.
