I guess you get what you pay for, we enjoyed our time at Shingley Beach resort.
7.0Location is amazing, unfortunately we only had glimpses water views but our balcony had a view of the second pool. Stroll down the driveway to marina, two pools to choose from. Undercover private garage included for car was handy but it was a tight squeeze getting my car in.
− Apartment are really close together so you can hear noise from other apartments and garage doors opening. Maintenance we’re using with leaf blower early in the morning so I couldn’t get my usual sleep in, but I like to sleep in past 9am. Beds in second bedroom were a bit on the firm side. Limited parking outside apartment.

6.0We stayed here recently and overall had a mixed experience. The positives were that the resort was very reasonably priced, within a short walking distance to town, had lovely views, and all of the staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming.
− Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room was quite disappointing. The toilet and shower had not been cleaned properly, there were dirty dishes left behind, and we even found belongings from previous guests still in the room. We also weren’t aware that the beds don’t come with doonas. Thankfully there were extra blankets in the cupboard, but it would have been helpful to know this beforehand. The bed was also very uncomfortable, to the point where my partner couldn’t sleep on it and ended up sleeping on the pull-out sofa instead. With better attention to cleaning and more comfortablee bedding, this could be a great place to stay given the location, price, and friendly service.
