Das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mein Zimmer war sehr geräumig, modern eingerichtet, niveauvoll ausgestaltet, bequem und angenehm. Die Rezeption, die Flure und andere allgemein zugängliche Räumlichkeiten sind mit hochwertigen Materialien ausgestaltet. Eine Renovierung erfolgte erst vor kurzem. Der Ausblick vom Balkon auf die Berge hinter Oberstdorf war Klasse. Ich empfehle die kostenpflichtige Garage, weil die Stellplätze so geräumig sind, dass es selbst mit einem SUV entspannt ist, dort zu parken.

− Man muss schon große Hotels mit lebhaften Besuchergruppen mögen, um sich durchgehend wohlzufühlen. Mich haben die aufgedrehten Teilnehmer eines Kurses eines No Name-NLP-Protagonisten genervt, die einen Teil der Tische im Frühstücksraum reserviert hatten, ohne den Platz wirklich zu benötigen. Man ist ja was Besonderes; ist wohl Teil der deutschen DNA. Wichtig sein und auffallen, ist in Zeiten der Social Media unentbehrlich. Mich nervt ein solches Geplärre morgens im Frühstücksraum; liegt aber nur an mir. Das Hotel kann nichts für meine Marotten. Die nächtliche Diskothek in ??? spielte zum Glück monotonen Deep House in unterschwelliger Lautstärke, sodass ich gut einschlafen konnte.

The room had a lot of space, plus a balcony. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. Big windows all around for mountain views and fresh air. There are two pools - a large indoor and a smaller outdoor pool but they are not staffed.

− The entire Hotel and experience need some love. The rooms are large but a bit run down and dated, the whole complex needs a do over as it's very old and in some places falling apart. The outdoor pool had moss in it, the inside pool had rust. There were no staff around the pool for towels/drinks/questions. The room was very hot, there was no air conditioning or fans, the curtains were light and not enough of them to cover the windows so the sun wouldn't heat the entire room up. There used to be a fridge in the room but it must have been taken out, also no kettle or coffee machine. Dinner and breakfast are in a huge, crowded area - you are seated at the same table every night and do not have a choice. Tables are super close to each other so you have no privacy - it feels a bit like a canteen. Staff often feel overwhelmed and very busy, short answers and they feel annoyed if you approach them. Table service takes a long time - we often finished our meals before drinks arrived. The food choices at the buffet were underwhelming apart from the salad buffet - So much that we ate out 3 out of 5 nights even though we had pre-paid for dinner. The parking is very crowded and with a roof box you have no choice but to park in adjacent roads if the hotel parking is full - which it was every night. There were people out in the front of the hotel, drinking and being loud into the early morning hours several nights so we did not get much sleep. To top it, we were charged Euro 20/day because we brought a dog, even though we didn't ask for house keeping at all and therefore our room didn't get cleaned(you have to book it the day before).
