Poor room cleaning.

Stayed for 10 nights in the Plaza side in a superior sea view studio on the 3rd floor. Room was large and generally comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space and loads of drawers but not enough hangers. Plenty of sockets and USB ports and free use of a digital safe. The air conditioning was not too efficient probably because there was an alert on the controller that the fiter needed cleaning. Bathroom contained a bath tub with shower plus a separate shower cubicle which was ok however the controls were tempremantal. (Nice to have a glass screen and door and not a curtain but a rain shower would be a welcome addition) Kitchen area had plenty of utensils but no chopping board so preperation of a proper meal may be difficult. Balcony door wasn't very efficient and traffic noise especially in the morning could be a problem for light sleepers. Room cleaning lets the hotel down. Debris on our floor wasn't cleaned and the room never had the 'just cleaned' smell that the public areas had. Main entrance to the Plaza is very small with marble steps up that were hazardous when wet especially on arrival and departure with cases etc. Not too much nearby in the way of bars and restaurants but can recommend the Plough and Anchor for a drink and Frescos for a nice meal.

Great small reasonably priced hotel. We had a big room with twin beds. Very clean and modern. Breakfast was good and all self service. Fantastic location on seafront, beside bus stop to Valetta and hop on hop off bus. Airport bus stop 2 mins around the corner. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Bad neighbours

Have not had a great experience our neighbours kept us awake for the first couple of nights until 4am! and now our room stinks with our patio door shut ,of drugs with the neighbours on the other side sat on the balcony. Having to smell this all night isn’t pleasant for us . Had to ask for clean towels after 4 days as room had not been cleaned, reception gave me one towel I said I needed more so he then gave me two towels. The domestic then came and cleaned room. Would not stay here again . Nice view from balcony thou. Great bus service outside

Pleasure from beginning to end

Where to begin?? This place was amazing from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. Booking in we were greeted by, I believe, the manager. He couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast something for everyone and staff pleasant. Room was cleaned every single day even Sunday. Beds were extremely comfortable. Checkout was smooth and we left our cases in the luggage room for the day. Only suggestion I would make there is to put a cctv camera in this room as many do in other complexes/hotels. Well done to everyone, hopefully we will be revisiting soon

Lovely stay. stayed for a week the room amenities were lovely little kitchen and balcony. Only slight annoyance was our double bed was two singles that moved away from each other during the night. The pool deck was lovely and a modest size pool was very deep and big enough for al the guests at that time. Also there was another seating area where we sat with cocktails in the early evening. Staff were nice and helpful, and location was very central with bis stops just outside. We would definitely consider staying again

Fabulous experience

Came here for a month guests with a group of friends then three weeks so lovely hotel both in sea view room, excellent food options, friendly staff especially Maya, Raohoul and Justin. Daily housekeeping service if needed or ‘do not disturb’ for sustainability for which I choose every three days. Ask housekeeping for tea/coffee etc. Beach and Peppi’s restaurant opposite. Bus service excellent 2 euros each way in winter or 2.50 euros in summer or buy weekly ticket which works out cheaper but chose bus time carefully as can be very, very busy at prime times but it adds to the experience of a holiday. Plenty to see and do and Gozo is gorgeous as well as Valletta with its turbulent history. Guided tours fantastic with Anna. Musical concerts 13 euros every Tuesday at Lady of our Victory church in Valletta - excellent. Cannon in Upper Barracks fires off at noon and 4pm - very noisy. Had a lovely time at hotel although terrace pool not open until April/May but heated indoor pool available in basement. Overall a very pleasant experience and booked to return in October.
