Very nice B&B in great town.
8.0Home was lovely. Decorated with tons of antiques and period pieces. Very conveniently located within walking distance to really cute town of Mt. Dora. Margie was an excellent hostess, brteakfast, part of the package was very nice.
− Did not know we would be on third floor of a walkup. My wife and I could handle it but for older or handicap folks it would be too much. Also our suite was supposed to have three sweeping views of the lake. We had one smallish window located in an alcove. Main room was way too dark for our liking and bedlamps not strong enough.

This charming, old-fashioned bed and breakfast is filled with beautiful antiques, artwork, and lovely collections of vintage dinnerware, creating a warm Victorian ambiance throughout the home. Our spacious room was comfortable and inviting, making for a wonderfully relaxing stay. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, adding to the overall experience. Most of all, the owners were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. If you appreciate history, charm, and genuine hospitality, Heron Cay B & B is a wonderful choice.

9.0The breakfast was superb. The location is easy walking distance into the town center, but is on spacious grounds. Margie, the innkeeper/owner is a real pro. She has been hosting people for over 30 years. Her hospitality and kindness in the way that she treated us as guests was exceptional. The ambiance she created in the public spaces left us with the feeling that she has not lost her true enjoyment in what she does.

7.0Breakfast was just okay. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was more than adequate.
− Breakfast timing was a bit late for our taste. Also the pool was not functional - a disappointment. The walk up the hill to get to town was a "stretch" for us considering our walking abilities. Coffee pot in room was in closet and no where to plug it in.
