We love this place for its beautiful grounds, excellent facilities, and private beach. Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard we expected, and it made our stay disappointing.

− Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard we expected, and it made our stay disappointing. The staff clearly need better training. Too many employees had a “can’t do” attitude instead of trying to help. This was not our first stay, and once again, no one offered to help with our luggage during check in. At a resort of this level, this should be standard service. The beach bar was another frustrating experience. I asked for a coffee by the pool and was told it was “too dangerous” to serve it there. Fifteen minutes later, another staff member served a bottle of wine with glasses to a couple sitting right next to us at the pool. There was no logic or consistency in the explanation. The bungalow rooms are definitely in need of renovation. It looks like the hotel has already started updating them, which is good to see, but the older rooms still feel tired. And finally, the pillows. They are incredibly overstuffed, like a turkey on Thanksgiving. Please offer softer pillow options. A good night’s sleep is one of the most important parts of a hotel stay, and having a choice of pillow firmness should be a basic amenity. We genuinely enjoy this property and would love to return, but the service needs significant improvement to match the quality of the location.

The venue was lovely. Wish I could have stayed longer. Beautiful place. Lovely room and lots to do. Food was great and staff were friendly.

− My only issue was the bathroom light kept tripping the power in my room and one of the bedside lights began flickering when I plugged on my charger on the second plug. Electrics may need looking at in LAVENDER 1. Forgot to mention on checkout as driver was waiting.

The pools and the beach views were absolutely stunning. The facilities such as our spacious room and the bar by the beach were stunning and we absolutely loved spending dinner there, and sat by there almost the whole time to relax.

− We found that the staff were quite uninterested in assisting us or serving us food. When we wanted to have lunch, we would go to the restaurant and receive glares, which made us quite confused. Many members of staff spoke little to no English, although this was understood completely by my partner and me, as we understand this is a smaller, more localised town. When asking questions about where to get menus and where to sit, staff were cold and ushered us away from them, which came across relatively rude.
