1.0− Our stay at this hotel was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. We chose this property because of its reputation and expected the level of service associated with such a well-known hotel brand. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we encountered one problem after another. First, nowhere during the booking process was it clearly stated that this is a non-smoking hotel. Had this information been presented in a clear and visible manner before booking, we would have chosen a different hotel. This is essential information that guests have the right to know before making a reservation, and it should never be hidden or omitted. When we arrived at the hotel, both the security guard at the entrance and the front desk staff were unable to locate our reservation. We presented every confirmation we had, including the hotel’s own confirmation email welcoming us and expressing excitement for our arrival. Despite this, we were kept waiting while they searched for our booking. After traveling, the last thing any guest wants is to be told that their reservation cannot be found. It was stressful, embarrassing, and an incredibly poor first impression. Unfortunately, things only became worse. While getting ready for dinner, we noticed a large number of black flying insects inside our room. At first, we assumed one or two had flown in from outside, but when we opened the balcony door, we were met with what can only be described as a swarm. Hundreds of insects flooded into the room within seconds, covering every corner. It was absolutely horrifying. We immediately called the front desk in a panic. The response we received was completely unacceptable. We were simply told that nothing could be done until the following day and that someone could “check the room tomorrow.” Are guests who pay for a luxury vacation really expected to spend the night sleeping in a room full of insects?
Great 6 night stay
10.0The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food quality was amazing and so was the water. We were able to brush our teeth with the tap water without getting sick and spent the whole week feeling great without any stomach issues. The mini fridge was always stocked with waters, Mexican cokes, sprites, and fanta. I'm not normally a coke fan and usually prefer Pepsi, but these cokes were incredible! Whatever was different really worked. No matter where we went, we felt welcomed and didn't have all that pushiness for time shares like we experienced in Punta Cana. This resort is exceptional for the friendliness of the staff and there's even a small convenience store a short walk away where you can buy cold drinks, cigarettes, or snacks for a reasonable price.
− The only downsides to this resort was the seaweed in the ocean and that the swim up bar closes at 6pm or earlier. The seaweed isn't really in their control, and they did their best to clear it each morning and also have a barrier to prevent a large chunk of it from coming to shore. The swim up bar however, I wish stayed open until at least 8pm. 6pm just seemed really early to call it a day
