Excellent stay in a comfortable hotel

I had an excellent visit here. The room (superior single) was very comfortable and quiet with good facilities, including a coffee maker and fridge. The breakfast buffet was excellent with good choice. Staff were all super helpful and friendly. Very close to Interlaken West station.

Great stay in this hotel. Comfortable and very clean room. You get the bonus of a coffee machine (i didnt use but others will find this very welcome). The room is cleaned very well everyday. Towels are changed everyday (super big bonus). Toiletries are better that when i stayed in the Hyatt at Zurich Flughafen (very positive about this hotel). Janet at the reception was very friendly and she made my check-in very smooth and went out of her way when their system was having a slight hick-up - which ofcourse was resolved really well by her. She explained everything well such as wifi, the restaurant, breakfast times and even how smooth the check-out process was. Breakfast was good with lots of options. I wont complain. They have fresh bread everyday, the baguette was super good. They have fruits, yogurt, cheese, waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, coffee, tea, caotina, ovalmaltine, your standard swiss breakfast. Best of all, everything you need is so close, Interlaken West train station, Coop, Migros, restuarants from affordable to high end are all nearby.

The hotel is amazing! The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. The rooms offer daily housekeeping and free bottle of water and chocolate. Central location with a short walk to Interlaken West. Breakfast is amazing with many options.

We visited the hotel restaurant on 2 consecutive nights- great food but what made the night was the service. Our waiter( sorry didn't get your name) was great, nothing was too much trouble and he made the night on both occasions. Highly recommended

Charming Old Hotel, Great Location!

Great location to Interlaken West station- 2-minute walk. The hotel has a rustic charm, but with that, there are things that you must be willing to endure. If you are a light sleeper, the thin walls may keep you awake. We had room 203- It had a great view of the street below and we enjoyed watching the traffic, the horse carriages, and the paragliders. But, room 203 has a terrible creaking floor! It can wake you up at night and I am sure the room below hates it as well. The AC in the room does nothing. As I write this review, we are in another hotel in Zurich. And the same shower/tub design is the same as the Krebs Hotel! You have to step up into the tub (almost three feet) and getting out is a safety nightmare. You have to exit the tub backwards as there is nothing to hold onto if you try getting out going forward. We tried the restaurant once for lunch and the service from Doris and Anh was fantastic. Do not order the Fish and Chips. Coop market is right next to the hotel, so there are plenty of food options to save from the high cost of restaurant dining. The hotel offers umbrellas for rainy days, are there is a private parking lot for 15 francs a night. The housekeeping lady we dealt with a few times was a true delight. She always made sure we had what we needed.
