Nature at its best
10.0Lodge set in forest on lake edge in one of most pristine areas in South Africa. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of activities - day trips on lake, canoe trip on lake over, forest walk, watching turtles land and lay eggs. Impressed by lodges efforts to be eco-friendly, but don’t expect fluffy white towels or air conditioning. If you love nature and being away from the crowds we highly recommend this lodge.

4.0The hotel is well located in Kosi Bay. The communal areas such as the dining, lounging and pool areas are very nice - well appointed, clean and outdoors. The rooms are the exact opposite - they are quite old, very dark and rather dingy. The outdoor shower area is full of leaves and bugs making it unattractive to use. The indoor shower was leaking heavily. The rooms are not well sealed which allows many bugs etc to enter. The mosquito netting was also torn in several places so does not serve any useful purpose unfortunately. I think this hotel is highly overpriced and not very good value for money. We expected much better accommodations for the price we paid. We were very disappointed. There are better options in the area.
