4.0The building looks nice from the outside, and the interior public spaces were also quite nice, so we had hope that our room would be just as nice.
− Unfortunately, the room was well below our expectations for a hotel marketed as "boutique". The furniture was old and worn. The "couch" was a stained 2 seater office style piece of furniture (wooden arm rests and rough textured fabric) - not cozy or comfortable at all. The decor was odd and mismatched and there wasn't a cohesive theme/decorative concept to the room. The TV and artwork were hung in unusual places (high up in corners of the room) which made the dated room feel even more strange (the 'vibe' made me very uncomfortable). The TV was old and/or poor quality - it sounded like we were listening to it through a tin can. The TV remote was missing the battery cover, which we eventually saw sticking out from under the bed - we were surprised this was missed by housekeeping; and the remote was so dirty I had to clean it with wet wipes I brought with us. We could also clearly hear other guests through the walls. I wouldn't recommend this hotel based on the state of the rooms, which is quite unfortunate because the rest of the building was lovely.
