Great Stay with Comfortable Rooms, but Expensive Late Checkout

We had a pleasant stay at La Reserva Virgin Lodge. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was very good with a nice variety. Overall, it felt like a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The only downside was the late checkout policy. When I requested just a one-hour late checkout, I was charged $100, which felt excessive and a bit disappointing.

Not worth the price

I can't recommend this hotel. Rooms are adequate but restaurant and bar service was the worst I have experienced travelling for 1 months and 4 countries in South America. The bar served gin but had no tonic. No bar snacks by the pool that had families swimming between 6 and 7. Rude staff. There is a lot of options so I advise looking elsewhere.

Stay somewhere else

This is a strange hotel .it has very nice rooms set in a rainforest setting .They are clean although starting to get a little tired .but overall very comfortable. But the restaurant and pool areas are very tired and in need of substantial refurbishment. Worst of all though is the catering .Breakfast is a miserable affair as is dinner .I cannot imagine the level of incompetence that has led to this situation. The staff are miserable, unhelpful and appear to lack any motivation . Luckily a short taxi ride into town will deliver great restaurants ,people and service. Why bother ,stay somewhere else

Very nice however much more rustic than the pictures show. A few bugs noticed in the bathroom and bedroom, one crawling on my pillow in the middle of the night. Pool only open to 8PM which was disappointing.

A little bit of Heaven

Beautiful little lodge hotel set in the middle of the rainforest in Iguazu. We only had 2 nights here as part of an organised tour but it was a little slice of paradise. We had a beautiful room in an eco pod with a covered terrace with table, chairs and hammock. It was so peaceful and relaxing just listening to the birds. The hotel has very helpful staff and a lovely pool with pool bar and restaurant serving food and drinks all day. The food quality was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel is located close to the entrance to the national park where you can explore the falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides.

nice, relaxing lodge in the forest - great for families

Nice lodge in the forest. Great gateway to visit the falls and relax in the afternoon with the kids and other families at the pool. Food was good in the evening but breakfast even though it is a buffet 80% is full of sugar with unhealthy sweet things.
