− Fireplace was out of action, however, the staff were amazing and still provided us with heaters. The bed was not the comfiest and definitely had an indent / dip in it from all the past people that had slept in it.

− We paid almost AUD 900 for two nights, expecting a comfortable stay, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. One very important detail was never mentioned during the booking process: our apartment was located three levels down with no lift access. This meant carrying all of our luggage down multiple flights of stairs. This was especially problematic because my mother had undergone knee surgery just two months before our trip and was unable to manage so many stairs. There was also no reception desk on site. I called the property’s reception number and was told the staff member needed to speak with her manager. However, no one called us back. After waiting in our car for another 30 minutes, I called again and was told that if we wanted to move to a higher-level apartment, we would have to pay approximately AUD 300 extra because the alternative unit was larger. I tried to explain our situation, but by then it was already 8:00 pm, we hadn’t had dinner, and we were exhausted from travelling. In the end, I had no choice but to carry two large suitcases and two carry-on bags down three flights of stairs by myself. What disappointed us even more was that there was no follow-up from the property after we checked in. No one asked whether we had managed or offered any assistance. Even the guests staying next to our unit commented that they were surprised and disappointed by the lack of lift access. Finally, we specifically paid extra for a lake-view room, but the view was only partial, with a significant portion blocked by trees. Overall, while the apartment itself was acceptable, the lack of transparency about the access, the poor customer service, and the misleading lake-view description made this stay far below our expectations. I hope the property will clearly disclose the stair-only access on its booking page so future guests—especially elderly travellers or those with mobility issues—can make an informed decision.
