8.0Staff very friendly and helpful. One of the down side is the road noise till late at night and early morning. Bed was right next to windowsill so watched traffic go by so that didn’t help.

10.0The staff make the Bell - we were warmly welcomed on checking in, and bar/restaurant service was friendly and efficient too. The room and dinner were both good value and good quality. We’ll look out for Greene King inns on future trips, as this was a very good and enjoyable experience all round.

6.0The bathroom was dirty, the shower was barely a dribble and could not hold a constant temperature. The bathroom smelt musty and made the bedroom smell horrible. The rooms desperately need updating, I know the building is very old but they need to invest because, for what they charge a night, they are not giving value for money at all.
