5.0I booked this hotel because of price - I needed one night to attend a specific event, and hotel prices were sky high in Paris over my dates. This was the hotel closest to the venue that was reasonably priced. Location was good - close to Metro Line 1 and handy if you are a tourist for the Louvre etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I also note that I was able to check-in early (3hrs) as the room was ready, but they charged me €25 for this. Given they didn’t specially prepare the room for my early arrival, it’s a double edge sword .. it’s convenient but feels … not like hospitality.
− Sadly, there’s a bit not to like that is not immediately apparent. The sound proofing was non-existent between rooms. When the couple next door came back at night, it was like they were in my room. The “bathroom” in the single room is actually all in one in the bedroom space. This was shown in the pictures (so not misrepresented) but in reality it meant a very small toilet cabinet and narrow shower, and humidity/damp in the room. Proof of this was I found a silverfish crawling on the carpet the next day (reported to Reception) but they had no idea what it was. I told them the room needed pest control. I was also bitten by something in the bed - not bedbugs I don’t think as it would have been worse but still a small cluster of bites on one leg that woke me up during the night. Very unpleasant and my experience didn’t align with the reviews I’d read.
Lively little hotel.
9.0The room is small, but there are more outlets than you find in bigger places. It is quite comfortable and the location is excellent. Breakfast is very good, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
