Imperial Palace Boutique Hotel Itaewon - Renovated in 2025♡

Very disappointing stay. Friendly staff, but the rooms need major improvements.

The staff were excellent and professional throughout my stay, but unfortunately the room condition and overall design did not meet my expectations. The hotel is in need of renovation, and I believe the room conditions should be inspected to ensure they meet acceptable standards.

− I stayed for two nights because the cancellation policy was very strict. On the first night, the room had a very strong unpleasant smell, as if beer had been spilled throughout the room. I also found many small particles on the bed, which made me question the cleanliness. The room was extremely dark, with very limited lighting, and almost every wall was covered with mirrors, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. The next day, I asked to change rooms, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They changed my room without any issues. The second room was cleaner and no longer had the unpleasant smell, but it was still very dark and had the same excessive use of mirrors.

Very cool hotel, great location and very comfortable

Great location, and short walk to train/subway. Very close to main restaurant strip and all the local boutiques. The room was large, clean and had good ventilation. The bed was soft and comfortable and the amenities were all we needed.

− The only thing was the street noise, the 12th floor we were on you could hear the nightclub underneath the hotel till the early hours of the morning on Saturday night /Sunday morning and a loud motorcycle or sports car sounded like it was right outside the door. We asked to be moved but were in the only junior suit of the hotel so we stayed.
