Poor customer services - incorrect information, poor Communications

I booked this hotel as I was attending the dog show in Windsor - I paid the higher price for the ability to cancel but I didn’t notice it wasn’t cancel on arrival it was 2 days prior to arrival. unfortunately due to the freak heat wave the Dog show was cancelled the day before I was due to arrive. I called the hotel and spoke to someone who told me there was nothing I could do - I explained I would be down that way for another dog show in September and could I maybe move the booking on the receptionist told me he would speak to his managers and that he didn’t think I could get a refund but he would speak to management to see if anything could be done - I also followed this up with a message to the hotel. The hotel contacted me two days later to say it was out side of the terms of agreement and that I couldn’t reschedule the booking as the booking had now passed - I explained I had contacted them prior to the booking but they were unwilling to even review the circumstances- I can’t comment on any of the facilities but I would not recommend due to their unhelpful attitude - they just kept referring me back to booking.com who advised me I had to speak directly to the hotel - I understand it’s not their fault but it’s not mine either - who would have guessed how hot it would get. I wouldn’t book with them again on grounds of customer services.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Where do I begin… firstly to say that the lady on reception was lovely and helpful. The rooms are very outdated and also dusty. It was pretty difficult for me to even write this review as the WIFI didn’t even work in my room. The rooms are fairly clean and beds are very comfy. Hairdryer and fan broke during my trip so that wasn’t great. It did also take me nearly 45 mins to wash my hair as the water came out like a trickle. Over all an average experience but don’t go expecting high expectations.

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting legoland which isn’t too far away. Receptionist was friendly and helpful upon arrival and we were checked in immediately. Receptionist had to hold lift door shut whilst we were in it to get it to work which was quite concerning so we darent use it again after that. Room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Nice and fresh except a few carpet stains which looked like they could have been easily removed. Had a great nights sleep as bed was comfy and a fan was provided as the room was very warm and windows didn’t open far. Liked the little canopy pub/ restaurant out from of the hotel. Made a nice alternative to a normal bar. Used room service which was served quickly and was delicious Downside for us was breakfast. Waitress was quite abrupt and as we were waiting to get to the table she decided to stand directly in front of it blocking us with a male staff member saying how horrible the selection was. I mean she was correct. It was a horrible bland selection but not really something you say in front of guests. Cooked breakfast was quite a small portion for £14 each Weighing everything up we did enjoy our stay and would recommend

My wife and I have been staying here for a few weeks as we’re nomadic We have a miniature Dachshund who travels everywhere with us In my experience it’s people who make places & you couldn’t find a friendlier more amenable staff, everyone from front of house, management, restaurant, housekeeping are just so nice We had a ground floor room with a back door with direct access to the garden which is 9 acres & mostly allowed to grow wild We’ve seen deer and foxes here foraging at sundown Special place, special people, don’t scroll any further, just book it

Overnight stay as was heading to the airport, great location, friendly staff. Room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfy and everywhere was clean, so had a good night sleep. Food was good, very reasonably priced as was the bottle of rose wine. Breakfast was a large choice of different cooked options as well as various cereals, fruits, yogurts etc. Would highly recommend this place and will stay again when using the airport.

Really comfortable hotel, all the staff friendly and helpful, nice grounds, clean rooms with decent facilities - easy parking. The breakfast was really good quality and a good selection - the food in the bar restaurant was nice too
