Ecclesl Hotel was Top Notch,My Husband and I went last Friday until Sunday.We Stayed in The Yeats suite,It was Beautiful,Spacious,Very Very Clean,Huge Balcony with Stunning views both from inside and outside,Decor was Fabulous,Extremely Friendly Staff and Food was Excellent.Will be definitely returning to the Yeats Suite again this year.We Would Highly Recommend Eccles.A Million Thanks To All Staff

Amazing Weekend Away

Staying at the Eccles Hotel was a lovely experience. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming from check in, to dinner, and to the spa. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and clean. The dinner was superb. The service was exceptional would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Disappointing

Overpriced, paid €270 per night for 2 nights purely because it advertised a sauna and hot tubs. The sauna and hot tubs are only open from 10am to 6pm. This is neither here nor there if you want to do anything else in the area. I feel they want to charge the big rates for a spa hotel but don't want to pay staff to keep it open. The rooms are basic and the hotel is dated. I was sorry I stayed here, the place is clean but very basic. Very disappointing..

Won’t be returning unfortunately. Our stay was disappointing largely due to my experience checking in at reception. The young redhead girl who checked us in was disinterested, lacking professionalism and rather unwelcoming on arrival, which set an unfortunate tone from the outset. This girl proceeded to tell us the spa was fully booked out however later on we were informed that the spa was not in use, something we had been very much looking forward to, this was not communicated to us prior to our arrival. She gave no apology or no provision was made to mitigate the inconvenience, this girl was quite dismissive which made the situation all the more frustrating. It’s a pity, as a warmer welcome and honesty about the no spa facilities for our stay from the start would have made a significant difference to the overall impression of the hotel. Breakfast was very good, and dinner was also nice, staff in the restaurant and bar were fantastic, may return to restaurant however won’t be staying due to this experience.

New Year's Eve Wedding

We had an amazing few days in the Eccles Hotel for our wedding on New Year's Eve. The hotel was fabulous!! Perfect for a winter wedding, with it's cosy & warm atmosphere, fires in the reception area, historic building, beautiful decor & stunning view from the exceptional bridal suite. Mags, Dylan & their team were a dream to deal with, incredibly helpful, professional & welcoming. They made the whole process very easy for us & many of our guests commented on their attentive hospitality over the few days. The food in the hotel was delicious & the staff were very accommodating to our guests at breakfast each morning. We couldn't rate the hotel high enough & we would definitely recommended the Eccles as a wedding venue to any couple.

Wonderful Winter Wedding

Myself and my (now) wife like to treat ourselves to nice weekend breaks down at Eccles, we just love the hotel's unique charm of old historic exterior, modern bedroom decor, amazing food and a delightful spa to relax away the stresses of life while looking out toward Garinish Island and Bantry Bay. We chose to have our wedding reception at Eccles hotel as we already knew the service provided by the hotel staff was to a very high level. Mags who is the hotel's wedding coordinator met with us early on, guided us through the wedding planning and really went above and beyond to make our Wedding Reception at Eccles Hotel so special (thanks again Mags!). We were thrilled with the quality of the reception, the exceptional food and outstanding service from start to finish. Many of our wedding guests have mentioned to us that they are already planning a return stay at the hotel as they were so impressed. We would highly recommend couples planning a wedding reception to consider Eccles Hotel.
