Beautiful views from almost every angle of the property!

8.0

A beautiful and well maintained property with a stunning view of the conservancy. Many buildings form a semi-circle around an active water hole where many of the animals of various species can be seen periodically during your stay. The staff exemplifies the warm and friendly nature that Kenyans are known for, making you feel more like family than a guest. Our tent, with a king bed, multiple seating options, a coffee bar, and a writing table was spacious and clean. The nights were cold during our stay but the bed had plenty of warm blankets and each night 2 hot water bags were placed under the covers to make it nice when you climbed in. The bags provided ample, added warmth all night and can also be used to provide comfort to stiff and cranky body parts at the end of a long day on safari.

Sweetwater’s was a beautiful and peaceful, luxury tented camp with everything to offer!

10.0

Sweetwater’s Serena Camp was the first lodge on our safari and we were amazed! It is beautifully located in Ol Pejeta Conservancy with all the animals around. There is a shallow lake with beautiful trees around with benches to watch the sunrise with animals around the water. The tented lodge was beautiful, comfortable and luxurious. You are escorted to and from your lodging for your safety during early morning and evening hours. The people are welcoming and gracious for everything. Food was served buffet style with so many, varied options and it was delicious. In the evening, the chef had made to order stir fry and in the morning an omelette station. This lodge was the perfect place to start our safari adventure!

5/5 ⭐ — A place that turns one night into two

10.0

We originally booked just one night at Serena Sweetwaters, thinking it would be a quick stop — we ended up extending our stay because we simply couldn’t bring ourselves to leave. That says everything. Sweetwaters is an absolutely incredible property. From the moment you arrive, there’s a quality and warmth to the place that’s hard to put into words. The grounds, the atmosphere, the whole experience — it exceeds expectations at every turn. The staff are genuinely exceptional. Special mention has to go to Wilson, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel so looked after — a huge part of what made the trip so memorable. Thank you, Wilson. And then there’s the waterhole. No photograph does it justice. Sitting there and watching the wildlife come and go is one of those rare, completely unhurried moments that stays with you long after you’ve left. Indescribable, honestly. If you’re considering Sweetwaters, just go — and build in more time than you think you’ll need. You’ll thank yourself later.
