Disappointed with the fishy smell in the room for my 2-night stay
4.0Due to the fishy smell for my 2-night stay, I have nothing to like .....
− If I am not wrong, I believe my room number was 901. When I checked in, the room had a strong fishy smell. I suspect that previous guests may have eaten seafood in the room, and the odor had not been properly removed. I reported the issue to the hotel staff immediately. Unfortunately, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked on 8 July 2026, so there were no available rooms for me to change to. The staff member who assisted me was very helpful. She followed me to my room, confirmed that there was indeed a strong fishy smell, and provided me with an air freshener as a temporary solution. However, the air freshener only masked the odor for a short time. The fishy smell remained throughout the night, making it very uncomfortable to stay in the room. I woke up several times during the night just to spray the air freshener again. I appreciate the staff member's efforts and professionalism, but I was disappointed that the room was not properly deodorized before my arrival. I hope the hotel will take better measures to ensure rooms are thoroughly cleaned and free of unpleasant odors before assigning them to future guests.
