Accurate booking descriptions are needed, though the helpful staff resolution was appreciated.
8.0I like the fact that the male receptionist (the lovely chubby one) helped me change the room immediately right after my complaint that the room did not match the description on Booking.com. He's polite and helpful. Hospitality needs more people like him.
− On the other hand, I was highly disappointed by another female staff member. When I politely pointed out the mismatch between the online description and reality, she dismissively told me that 'it was just a description.' This implies that it was my fault for believing the advertisement, which is incredibly unprofessional considering we paid a premium based on those exact details. I was by no means a difficult customer; I was patient enough to give the room a chance for a full day before speaking up and raising my concerns.
Good to know
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.
