A gem of a guesthouse that I always stay at.
10.0This place is a quiet little gem of a guesthouse that has become my base of operations for a KZN holiday. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is provided (including filter coffee, which I was thrilled about). Small bottles of body wash, lotion and shampoo are provided, as is a large bottle of handwash for the basin.
− The only thing that might put people off is there is no direct sea view, but it's not the fault of the owners that the mall was built later. (I knew about this and it didn't bother me as the beach is a 3-minute walk away.) Wi-fi was good - only a bit spotty during a phone call, but worked fine the rest of the time.

− The place is not well maintained. You can see the place used to be beautiful but not any more. My girls complained about the towels. I advised her to ask for better towels, she didn't bother to ask after seeing the ones that were on the laundry line, totally not good for humans. My cousin told me that she always pack towels in her luggage, now I understand why she is doing that. I always check reviews when I do my bookings. My daughter thought maybe the reviews were written by the owners. I was planning on going there in September but my daughter advised me not to even think about it. Supervision on cleaning staff should be taken seriously. They need training or they take guests for granted. Wifi not working. TV.... I don't know what to say. The lady I spoke to on the phone was friendly and kind hearted. Mam if you are the owner, do something if you are not talk to your boss. Property maintenance and renovations is key in the hospitality industry. The pictures must be old pictures.
