We booked this ryokan to give our children an authentic Japanese experience. The onsen is beautiful, and several staff members were kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was disappointing. We specifically booked and paid for a room for 2 adults and 4 children, including half board and a room advertised with 2 twin beds and 4 futon beds. However, when we arrived, only 2 futons were prepared, and our 4-year-old twins were not offered dinner or breakfast, despite being included on the reservation. I had to repeatedly ask what they were supposed to eat. We were initially offered French fries for dinner and plain rice or scrambled eggs for breakfast. Only after asking further did I learn I could purchase Japanese children’s meals for an additional ¥3,000 per child per meal. Traditional meals in private rooms were wonderful! Although the room was listed as 559 sq ft, it felt very cramped for six people, with almost no closet or storage space and nowhere to unpack luggage. There was also no space for young children to play, and we spent most of the stay trying to keep them quiet around fragile displays. Our first impression was also disappointing when a staff member visibly rolled their eyes at our family’s luggage upon arrival. While some staff were wonderful, we often felt that families with young children were tolerated rather than welcomed. This is likely an excellent ryokan for couples seeking a quiet, traditional experience. However, I would not recommend it for families with young children or stays longer than one or two nights.

The place was beautiful. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Food was delicious. The shuttle to the station was also great. You can tell everyone there is working hard to make your experience the best possible.

スタッフの皆さんの接客が素晴らしかったです。到着から出発まで、きめ細かく親切な対応が印象的でした。 食事はまた格別で、夕食、朝食(和定食)とも地のものが大変美味しくセンス良く出されて、堪能しました。 大浴場、部屋の露天風呂も良かったです。

− 25周年ということで、年数がたっているので致し方ないと思いますが、同行の夫はトイレの狭さを指摘していました。が、部屋も水回りも掃除が行きどどいていて清潔、快適に過ごすことができました。

In questo ryokan abbiamo fatto un'esperienza completa, già quando si arriva alla stazione, subito dopo i tornelli si trova un telefono il quale ti permette di chiamare gratuitamente il ryokan per farti venire a prendere. All'arrivo vieni accolto benissimo, ti vengono portati i bagagli direttamente in camera e lo staff ti spiega tutto quello che c'è da sapere. È stata un' esperienza unica!

Soggiorno all’insegna della tradizione giapponese.
