− Petit, quoique charmant

8.0The hotel was beautiful, exactly how I imagined a romantic little hotel in Paris. They had Halloween decorations, which was a really lovely touch. The staff were also very friendly, and the hotel was clean. However, we booked a Superior room, while our friends booked a standard room and received an upgrade. Their room was much bigger and better equipped than ours, which felt a little unfair considering we paid more for our room. The location was excellent, with a metro station right nearby and easy access to everywhere.
− Our room faced the street, and I honestly don’t understand how other guests can describe the street noise as only mild. Even with the windows closed, the noise was very noticeable. That said, I understand it’s an old building and the windows probably don’t insulate as well as modern ones. Another major downside was the breakfast. Although the food was tasty, the selection was extremely limited. There was bread, baguette, butter, cheese and hard-boiled eggs, plus some sweet pastries, but that was pretty much it. No ham, salami, sausages, scrambled eggs or anything else. After two days, the lack of variety gets a little frustrating. So, if we stayed here again, we would book a room facing the courtyard and skip breakfast. For that price, I’d rather go and sit in a café in the morning.
It was fantastic!
10.0It was a beautiful property in a quiet neighbourhood! The staff were very friendly and accomodating. They allowed us to store our luggage at reception when we arrived at 9am and between check out and our trip to the airport at 2pm.
