Convenient but basic
6.0The main advantage of the hotel is its super convenient location. There are three bus stops within 2-min walk, the main train station is a 5-min walk, with several combini super close too. Another plus is the breakfast buffet, quite a nice spread with the usual Japanese morning fare, plus a few local specialties. The apple vinegar drink was so good!! The room itself was frankly nothing to be impressed by. Clean as per the norm of Japanese standards, but it was so dated that it had an AM/FM radio built into the nightstand?!! Also, not sure why--perhaps there was a special event or something--but the one night I stayed there, the room rate was almost USD$300, so definitely not worth it, but I had no other choice at the time.

8.0The hotel is a little old but kept well and very clean. It's also in great location with nice staff. Paid parking is cheap if you're driving.
Decent no-frills stay
6.0We stayed at the Sunroute for 2 nights whilst visiting Aomori. The location is good, being a short, easy 5 minute walk from the station. As Aomori is a relatively small town, the hotel is close to all the city centre shops and restaurants. The hotel is a little dated, though it was cheap and comfortable. Our room was small as expected, though it was possible to get in both sides of our double bed, which is sometimes not always the case with Japanese business hotels. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so can’t comment on that. We noticed there was a coin laundry available which could come in handy. WiFi in our room worked well. Overall it was a decent, yet no-frills, stay.

8.0当日予約でしたが丁寧な受付で良かったです 疲れていたので和室が良くて選びました 部屋は広く無いが二人でゆっくりできる程度でよかったです バスは使ってないが、やや手狭な感じ、一泊なら良いきはします 周辺に飲食店も多くて行動しやすかったです
