Overall disappointment in a fairly expensive resort

The location was our choice and the bay was perfect for what we were looking for. The food & staff were excellent.

− A couple of the pools need refurbishing, missing tiles and grubby, the drinks at breakfast lunch and dinner could be managed better with more stations and staff to serve that many guests. There were several guests including ourselves that had several issues with the Aircon in the rooms. The brand new apartment block we stayed in after paying for an upgrade was disappointing. Shower did not drain, no toilet roll holders, no towel rail/hooks. Toilet seat was loose, the only way the Aircon worked properly was to turn it off completely!!! Seriously !! We had to ask for beach/pool towels & had to pay €10 euros deposit for each towel. Make sure you request the 2 small water bottles in your room to be replenished each day ( or they won’t be )

Gutes Hotel direkt in der schönen Bucht von Vlycha

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Lindos Royal Resort sehr genossen und würden das Hotel grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen. Zu Beginn gab es allerdings einen kleinen holprigen Start. Beim Check-in erhielten wir zunächst ein anderes Zimmer als das von uns gebuchte. Es handelte sich um ein Swim-up-Zimmer, über das wir uns anfangs sogar gefreut haben. Leider stellte sich bereits nach der ersten Nacht heraus, dass aus der Klimaanlage ein sehr starker Chlorgeruch kam. Sobald man sie ausschaltete, roch das Zimmer unangenehm feucht und schimmelig. Deshalb baten wir darum, bereits am nächsten Tag in unser ursprünglich gebuchtes Zimmer umzuziehen. An dieser Stelle möchten wir die Rezeptionsmanagerin ausdrücklich loben. Sie war ausgesprochen freundlich, verständnisvoll und bot uns sofort an, jederzeit das Zimmer zu wechseln. Leider hatten wir mit einer anderen Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption (Bianca) eine deutlich weniger angenehme Erfahrung. Wir fühlten uns von ihr weder besonders freundlich betreut noch verabschiedet, was einen kleinen bitteren Nachgeschmack hinterlassen hat. Davon abgesehen waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Das Buffetrestaurant hat uns jeden Tag begeistert – das Essen war abwechslungsreich, frisch und wirklich sehr lecker. Auch das À-la-carte-Restaurant war ein echtes Highlight. Die Poolanlagen waren gepflegt und schön gestaltet. Lediglich die Getränke konnten uns nicht vollständig überzeugen. Besonders der Wein aus dem Zapfhahn entsprach nicht unserem Geschmack. Ein absolutes Highlight war für uns die wunderschöne Bucht von Vlycha. Unsere Tochter hat dort unzählige Muscheln und Steine gesammelt und sogar ihre ersten Schnorchelerfahrungen gemacht – Erinnerungen, die wir nicht vergessen werden. Auch die Nähe nach Lindos ist perfekt. Die Stadt ist schnell erreichbar und lädt zum Bummeln, Shoppen und gemütlichen Essen ein.

Am letzten Tag wurde unser Zimmer nicht wirklich gereinigt, nur unsere Handtücher zusammengelegt und das Bett glatt gestrichen. Die Mini Bar haben sie die letzten zwei Tage nicht mit Wasser aufgefüllt, aber wenn man freundlich fragt, bekommt man dies natürlich.

Хороший готель, смачна їжа. Над комфортом гостей ще є куди працювати.

− Заміна рушників 1 раз на два дні. Відсутність бутильованої води в номерах. Відсутність парасольок на внутрішньому виході до води на піщаному березі. Вцілому все якось для зручності адміністрації готелю, а не для відпочиваючих

Facilities more geared to guests with young children but pleasant enough stay.

First let me say that I am writing this review from the perspective of an older couple on an all-inclusive holiday. If we were a couple with young children, I would rate this hotel higher as there are good facilities by the pool and entertainment for them.

− For us, the adults-only area was minimal with not enough available sunbeds. We found the poolside too crowded and opted to go to the beach where there are adequate good, free sunbeds attached to the hotel. The beach is down a steepish hill; we made a decision not to traipse up the hill for lunch and free drinks and opted to use a small beach bar, not connected to the hotel, for a small lunch and drinks. This made for a pleasant day; we were still in time for early drinks at the hotel pool bars where the staff provided great service. After dinner there was often good entertainment in one of the bars. The hotel could not fulfil our request for a double-bedded room. The air conditioning did not initially work and there was a crack in the balcony window. We did not particularly enjoy the buffet meals in the main restaurant; the food was of an acceptable, but not exciting, standard. Better were the three a la carte restaurants in which you can eat: Asian, Greek and Mediterranean that provided a restricted but tasty menu.

Had a fun and enjoyable time, it was relaxing and the food was good.

Plenty of pools and sun-loungers, easy access to both beach spots. Buffett food had a good variety and tastes nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There’s a few slides which are fun.

− The cocktails aren’t great, they taste pretty bad, same with their Coca Cola - the beer does the job. The double beds are just two singles pushed together.
