Location excellent for beach

− Parking space for apt 22 is tight when car park is busy

Proximity to beach and car parking facilities

− We have just returned from a week at Beachcombers. To say that we were disappointed on our arrival would be an understatement. As ststed , the apartments are all individually styled, but the photographs on the site in no way represent our accommodation. We were allocated an apartment two days in advance of our arrival- no 32, which is accessed by 49 steep external steps, a combination of stone and open fire escape style which led to the apartment itself. There was absolutely no warning that some of the accommodation is completely inaccessible for some, and at best, a challenge for those with age and/or health related difficulties. I immediately rang the allocated telephone number and explained that our a accommodation was unsuitable due to the aforementioned issues, only to be told there was no available alternative due to the huge numbers heading to Cornwall because of the weather, the person then said , ' goodness knows why', stating that she hated the heat and why people were visiting was a mystery to her! This was reiterated at least three times, an entirely unhelpful conversation to say the least. With no available alternative, it was definitely a challenge to ascend the steps, let alone carry luggage and groceries. My husband badly scraped his toes and later strained his back carrying a heavy suitcase up the steps. This was exacerbated by the heat of course, however the apartment reached temperatures in excess of 34 degrees most days. There was no fan and proved absolutely stifling. The windows only had cheap vertical office style blinds which were noisy when we opened the windows to try and create some breeze. This was particularly challenging during the night. Temperature aside, the apartment was tired and very much in need of redecoration and a refresh. By contrast, my son and family for the same money, had a bright, airy apartment which was much cooler and more comfortable and spacious in every way.

Amazing location and the beds were super comfy! Nice and clean and the kitchen was well equipped

− We really struggled with the stairs getting everything up and down on arrival and leaving but only because we had a baby with us. We had to leave the pram down in the car. Could maybe do with a little update but nothing major. A fan in the apartment would have been amazing!

A very enjoyable holiday!

Apartment was attractively finished, a good size, clean and well located, being a short walk from the beach.

− As we had hot , sunny weather, some fans or air conditioning would have been appreciated. Other than that, no complaints.

We didn’t want to leave!

We love the location, being a short walk from the beach. Property is clean, furnished and well presented.

− There are a few minor signs of wear and tear.

Great location was only a 10 minute drive. to Newquay and all the surrounding beaches
