− If I had to pick one thing, it would be that you have to climb into the spa to have a shower. It’s quite a big step when climbing out which would be an issue for some people.

6.0We called a few hours b4 and got 3 rooms which we greatly appreciated as we had a medical emergency and I was in hospital there. But my partner and kids stayed.

10.0The room was fresh, spacious, with everything you could possibly need, including Foxtel!. Walking distance to cafes, the lake, and an IGA. Plenty of parking. Having the City Oval hotel basically on site, also made walking to dinner easy.

Cosy location for visiting family on a wintery weekend. Would be happy to return.
9.0Our room was very spacious, the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The split air conditioning system made the room very cosy despite Ballarat’s frigid winter weather. The provisioning of the room was generous and exceptional - dark chocolate for hot chocolate drinks, a coffee machine and Kookas biscuits. Plates, toaster, microwave and kettle plus a facecloth specifically for make up removal - very smart move. Off street parking was available. ‘Quiet’ rooms have windows onto the courtyard and walkway to other rooms. It was not very noisy on the street at night but it was winter and miserable weather. Glad we booked for the associated City Oval Hotel for dinner on Friday night. Good standard pub food with some nice seasonal offerings of a hot crumble and a steamed pudding for dessert. Easy walk to Lake Wendouree. An EV charger is available but we didn’t use it. More than happy to stay here again.
− No power points adjacent to either side of the bed so charging devices was across the room. For those with mobility issues there are no lifts to the first floor. Be aware that rooms are not serviced on Sundays or public holidays.
