A great great room with great customer service.
9.0My single room what excellent. Very clean, Comfortable bed, great shower and quiet.
− The fan in the room was a good idea but not strong enough to cool the whole room.
Unfortunately will not be going back.
5.0The ambiance character beautiful.
− Room very small and smelt musty and fusty. The cleaning products used did not smell fresh. Reminded me of products used in public toilets years ago. Only a fan for air con. Could not open a window as were in stable block. Disappointed having to pay £14 extra for breakfast. Breakfast was not good . Poached eggs were over cooked and the whites were in a sloppy mess. Too many beans in a big pot on plate and too hot from microwave. Bacon OK. Brown toast too burned. Luckily white toast was good. On returning home every item of clothing I had taken even the outfits I didn't wear had to be washed as everything smelt musty and fusty. A shame I wont go back as location close to my daughter is ideal and the staff were lovely.
Beautiful location, lovely rooms, great service especially if you have accessibility needs
10.0As a disabled traveller (M.S.) I usually ask for ground floor accessible rooms and was not disappointed with the suitability of the Conigre, what an absolutely stunning place. The building was an old stable block and the rooms were very, very nice! My room was spacious, nice big bed, TV and coffee facilities as well as hairdryer. The bathroom was fabulous. Lovely corner bath with shower and TV on the wall in case you want to catch your favourite programme and have a soak at the same time! The whole place was peaceful, clean and welcoming which was lovely because my car broke down and I didn't arrive until 4am! A few reassuring words from owner/ manager Andy (after my panicked phone call to say what had happened), who very kindly left the outside light on and my door open - it's these small things that makes me feel like I will absolutely stay again. I forgot my phone charger and Andy popped over with one to borrow for my stay, I left my beanie hat behind, which Andy kindly posted back to me. I stayed at the Conigre at the end of June to attend a wedding, but I will definitely be back to do some actual sightseeing as the location is so beautiful, the atmosphere is tranquil and calming. The Conigre was so reasonably priced that it is an affordable and genuinely great place to stay. And if you're disabled or physically challenged, this is a great place with no steps and plenty of railings and very few obstacles to negotiate. Highly, highly recommended.

4.0Location was good for my event
− Both the shower gel and the shampoo were already opened and there was just enough shampoo to wash my hair and no shower gel so I had to keep getting out of the shower to get some hand soap from near the sink. And there was no hair dryer in the room so I left the hotel with wet hair! And parking was very tight.
Very nice
