Stryn Hotel♡

Much better than the rating on tripadvisor!

I am a little surprised why this hotel has an average rating of 3.9, I think it should be a lot higher. We booked a 1-night stay as the hotel has a really great location, right on the river in the town of Stryn, directly on the route between Geiranjer - Flam. It was the perfect stopover town on our way to Flam without any detours. All the other hotels were too expensive/too far and this was the only mid-range I found. We booked a superior room with river view, got upgraded to a balcony room. The room was quite nice and spacious (exactly as in photos and bigger for European room sizes), very clean, all basic amenties included (including kettle and iron which many hotels have stopped providing these days). Free breakfast is included, buffet dinner is available at a price, staff is friendly. very clean bathroom, nice shower. I was a little skeptical about the place considering some of the negative reviews, maybe the hotel is working on improving things but our experience here was 10/10

− No lift, need to carry heavy luggage , if your room was not in 2nd floor.

Helt greit hotell, men for dyrt i forhold til kvalitet.

Hotellet var rent og lå sentralt i Stryn.

− Avvikling av frokost var svært lite hensiktsmessig, med oppbygging av enorm kø før innslipp på morgenen. Kunne enkelt vært løst med mer fleksibelt personale so kunne utgått kø bare ved å starte å slippe inn folk 5 minutter tidligere, men dette gjorde dessverre frokosten til en ubehagelig opplevelse med stor trengsel.
