8.0I had a great stay at Hotel Garden Palace Kyoto. The location was excellent—very peaceful and quiet, yet at the same time super central, with plenty of activities and places to visit within walking distance. One of the highlights is that it’s also close to the Imperial Palace, which made exploring the area even more convenient. The only downside is that the rooms really need renovation. The hotel itself is incredible, but the rooms haven’t been updated in decades, which takes away a bit from the overall experience.
