Nice place. But unfortunately did not sleep well

Easy to find, easy and friendly check in. Peaceful location and settings. Has nice amenities and is well set up. Pool area looks nice, would enjoy in the warmer months. Ample parking. Tidy. Short drive to township.

− In the room we stayed in didn't have much sound barrier between us and neighbour, unfortunately we had a loud stomping and door slamming neighbour which kept us up late and woke us early both days. If our stay was longer than 2 nights, we would have requested a room change for sure. Block out blinds is needed too, with the security lights on outside throughout the night, the room is pretty well lit up, which made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, a very nice place.

Newer renovation shows a lot of potential, but this stay was a terrible experience.

The shared kitchen facilities were fantastic and had games to entertain the kids which was a nice touch. Had a great pub nearby for dinner with the kids and a cafe/grocery store a short walk away. Pool was well maintained (but hard to find/poorly signed) during construction). Staff made efforts to upgrade our accommodation following complaint. Clearly transitioning to more modern cabins. Road noise was minimal and renovation/construction was facilitated during reasonable waking hours.

− I want to preface this by saying that I don't have high standards (love a good rustic cabin) and I feel really uncomfortable having to complain about accommodation or services in general. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that I needed to warn other families away from booking the vintage cabins altogether. We arrived after hours for a vintage cabin after a long drive. Onsite construction in progress (nil advice received of this) blocking access to the entry. This was resolved and keys were retrieved using after hours process. Entered the cabin to find greasy floors (whole place felt like it moved under my feet), stains on sheets and towels (thought they had been cleaned I think), no blankets despite it being winter, black mould in shower and the vanity had one side rotted out and covered with black mould. We used towels to clean floors before crashing for the night. Went to reception the next day (staying 2 nights) and was initially told they could try and get a cleaner in, but they upgraded when I advised this was unsatisfactory. Receptionist said she would message as soon as new room was ready. I had to message her first (hours later) and came in to get keys for new room. Got to new room which still had other people's things in it. Resolved issue by getting correct key and was advised this room had been freshly cleaned. Facilities in this room clearly more modern and spacious- likely would have been enjoyable had the floors not been absolutely filthy. By this point, I was so fed up with the place that I showered and went to bed. I ended up using a bath mat to try and clean floors (photo attached) so my feet weren't black by the time I reached the bed, however the entire place was greasy. I'm sure the floor issue in the newer cabins could be resolved by proper cleaning, but after this dismal experience I will never stay here again.

− Room tiny. Lighting awful. No bedside lights one too strong fluro light. Not much privacy.
