An average & affordable stay in an expensive area
6.0While Chestnuts is a good value for expensive Bourton-on-the-Water, the accommodations were somewhat disappointing. The location is terrific and the breakfast was tasty, but there is minimal hospitality compared to other places we stayed across England. The room was a little dated and the bed wasn’t our favorite; and the shower temperature was hard to fine-tune; it was either hot or cold.

6.0The property was in the town centre and close to the river, Birsland the motor museum, plenty of places to eat out. However there were stairs to climb, awkward for my sister in law. The rooms were adequate but the building was dated. The staff however were excellent. Mandy (?) was brilliant, friendly, helpful even though she was always busy she found time to talk and tell us about local places.
