good, relaxing and value for money
8.0Uppingham is much quieter than Oakham and parking outside is possible. We found a space in the rear pub cark each time we returned. It was extremely hot on our first night, we were in room 1 up in the eaves so a fan and two windows was a life saver. Everyone was too hot. There is no air conditioning. The room was tight for space and the bathroom likewise, but we were there very little time. There were 3 flights of tight steep stairs and 3 fire doors to go through. Breakfast is advertised from 8 but we needed it by 7.30 as on the first we wanted to leave early. We were down in time but were not away before 8.30. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great place to spend the weekend!
9.0Beautiful pub in the centre of a lovely picturesque village. The staff are lovely and couldn’t help us enough with everything we needed.
− The room was very hot, but this was due to the heatwave not the hotel. The hotel had supplied two fans so they did do their best - otherwise perfect!
