6.0Restaurant staff and food excellent. Public areas nice and fresh and modern but in keeping with the property. Room was extremely disappointing - bathroom needs gutting as dirty grout in floor and wall tiles and sealant needs replacing and shower curtain. Radiator needed cleaning/replacing. Window frame in bedroom rotting and catches all loose. Bedroom furniture dated and worn and needs a new mattress. Also be warned they are very thin walls!! The views are spectacular and grounds well maintained. The room was nothing like the picture and as a country wedding venue I would have expected a lot more. We also booked it months in advance. Assume we had a room next on the list for refurb! Reception staff unusually didn’t ask us how our stay was!

10.0The reception staff went over and above to be helpful. The rooms were excellent and it's the best night's sleep I've ever had. Breakfast was amazing too, with all tastes catered for. But the welcome we received from the lovely receptionist made it for me, a credir to the hotel.

4.0Upon checkout, the gentleman at the reception greeted us with a smug look and an unhelpful attitude when we asked if we could check out, as no one had been at the desk initially. However, the lady at reception the night before was very helpful, friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. Cleanliness: The sofa in the room was extremely dirty, with the armrests almost black from accumulated dirt. Additionally, there was no mini fridge in the room and no slippers provided, which was disappointing. Overall the hotel was nice.
