Beautiful Views, but Serious Cleanliness Issues

We stayed for three nights. The hardware itself, view, private beach, and large swimming pool were all excellent. However, the cleanliness was very concerning. We found rat droppings four times and repeatedly heard a rat moving, gnawing, and squeaking inside the walls at night, which woke us up. The staff tried to help, but we were not offered a room change. The food was also disappointing. Most dishes were not good, although the bánh xèo was enjoyable. Breakfast was included but very average. Overall, this resort is worth considering only for the beautiful scenery, private beach, and pool. Do not expect high standards of cleanliness. The biggest issue was the rat. Btw, the staff were very kind and helpful. Thanks for all your help during our stay...

− As a global traveler who has visited over 50 countries, holds a top-tier rating on Booking.com, and stays at world-class luxury hotels, I am utterly shocked by the state of Hon Tam Resort. This is not a 5-star resort; it is an active, hazardous industrial construction site. We booked this hotel for a peaceful vacation but were never notified about the massive renovation. Upon arrival, the staff explicitly misled us, claiming the noise would end "in a few days." Instead, the construction escalated across the entire property, including the beach, main pool, and neighboring villas. The conditions here are completely unacceptable and unlawful under Vietnamese consumer and tourism laws: 1. Severe Medical Danger: The construction zones are completely un-fenced. Concrete dust and toxic debris blow directly into the villas. As someone with allergic bronchial asthma, inhaling this dust has triggered severe, life-threatening asthma attacks. 2. Deafening Noise: Noise levels measured just 20 meters from our villa reach a staggering 99 decibels (dBA). This grossly violates Vietnam’s National Technical Regulation on Noise (QCVN 26:2010/BTNMT), which limits public/residential areas to 70 dBA. Rest is completely impossible. 3. Appalling Hygiene: The rooms are dirty. Due to construction gaps and poor maintenance, our villa is constantly covered in thick dust, and we have discovered a cockroach infestation inside the living areas. Management completely failed to provide the basic living comfort, safety, and hygiene guaranteed by the Law on Tourism № 09/2017/QH14. They hid the truth and ruined our multi-week stay. If you value your health, your peace, and your money, DO NOT book this hotel until the construction is fully completed. I have already escalated this severe breach of consumer rights to Vinpearl HQ and Vingroup executives, so I will update this review if some new information appears.

Very good location and nice garden. The receptionist were helpful enough, but the staffs in restaurant a bit off . The open to public one a bit too many people using so the waiting games were not comfortable because of the heat and noise.

Чем статуснее и роскошнее отель, тем легче к нему придраться. Но здесь все было хорошо. Пустяки в виде косметических недочетов не стоит даже брать в расчет. Очень красивая территория, прекрасный пляж. Прекрасный курортный отель.

− Нужно быть готовым, приезжая на остров, что цены в четыре раза выше, чем на материке.
