The worst experience of a hotel booking ever
1.0Didn’t actually stay here as the host behaved in a bizarre and threatening manner and refused to let me check in. It’s a great location and looked good in the photos but I only saw the reception area
− The host! He asked me to leave and find alternative accommodation at 5pm on a busy Saturday night ! And he has done this to other solo travellers too. Seems this can be a great place to stay (I booked it because it has 5 stars ) but look at the 1 star ratings , tells a very different story

9.0Great location near to town centre but also quiet. Lovely breakfast menu. Good host and venue was v clean.

7.0Prachtige ligging,tegenover het park & lake en maar 100 m van het centrum. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Grote ruime kamers. Heerlijk ontbijt.
− Het was pech dat het warm water het niet deed en niet in het weekend gerepareerd kon worden. Hierdoor wel korting gekregen.

Gut gelegenes Gästehaus in der Nähe des Derwent Water
10.0Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit guter Lage direkt am Park, der zum Derwent Water führt. Ich habe mich im Lake Road House sehr wohl gefühlt. Ivan ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber mit guten Tipps z.B. für Dinner in Keswick. Mein Zimmer (und ich glaube, das gilt für alle Gästezimmer) hatte eine schöne Aussicht auf den Park und die dahinter liegenden Berge (Cat Bells).

9.0Fab views from our very comfortable room, very good bathroom, very likeable owner.
− We had expected our room to be serviced on a daily basis, but we had misunderstood the nature of a B&B as opposed to a hotel. However, the owner arranged a bit more than normal attention for us! The toiletries seemed to be too dilute to lather properly.
