8.0An all right stay overall. The staff is nice, the breakfast is good.
− There was a kitchen exhaust right outside the window, but it operated at reasonable hours, so didn't bother me much
Overpriced for what it is

− Access to the bedrooms is very awkward, breakfasts very meagre, restaurant had virtually no veggie/plant based options, so we ate out.

3.0Not much I’m afraid. The staff were all very friendly and helpful ‘eventually’
− When we arrived there was nothing we could see to tell us where to go. My husband eventually went into the bar. I saw a tiny sign facing away that pointed to reception but there wasn’t one! The barman was showing someone to their room and both pushed past me without a word! The place is called number one but it’s anything but. The rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. The shower was cracked as is the sink. It was disgusting and our room was not cleaned the three nights we stayed. The room was so hot as it was 30c outside. However having the heating in the bathroom on 24/7 so hot you couldn’t touch it was just hell. The floor slopes so badly I had trouble with my balance. We had to have the window open but the noise outside kept us awake. There was a bottle bank and I think every resident in Wooler took their bottles to smash them at 6 am
