I'm recovering from a horrific car accident in which I was hit by a distracted driver semi-truck on the expressway. Injuries galore - I was lucky to survive. Sixteen months later, I now find myself walking independently again, starting to feel free and independent, starting to get my life back as my mobility increases. I strongly felt the need for a solo getaway to test myself, to see how I would manage being on my own for a few days. I scoured the internet for a place that felt "right." I settled on the Florida beaches and began looking at photos and reading reviews of hotels on the coast. The vibrant colors - the artwork - the unique and whimsical vibe - something kept bringing me back to look again at the Blue Seas Courtyard, so I trusted my gut and booked it. From the moment I arrived, I knew I'd found what I was looking for. It checked all the boxes in that it was beautiful, roomy, spotlessly clean, and had a perfect location, just a few minutes walk to the beach. I could see the waves from my room, #10! But beyond that, the atmosphere itself was sooo very relaxing and friendly. The property is obviously loved and treasured. The creativity, the vibrancy, the consistent, inobtrusive presence of the owners and the property manager checking in, addressing me by my name, making sure all was well - all of this was healing. I hated to leave and actually booked an extra day because I couldn't tear myself away. I will return, and I will stay much longer next time! The Blue Seas Courtyard delivered everything I was looking for and more!

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Seas! Beautifully decorated with Mexican decor, which we love! We arrived after check-in hours, which was no issue to access our room key/room. There were no staff on the property to officially check in the next day to ask questions, which made a bit trickier to navigate, but that was okay. The property is not supposed to be for children under 12, but this was not the case during our stay. Not a big deal, but this is one of the reasons we booked this property. Wonderful location across from the beach and a block to the downtown area where there are many restaurants and bars. We ate breakfast at El Mar most mornings-the food came out fast and it was great! The discount coupon was a bonus, although we did not have it to the first morning we went due to not being able to see staff. El Mar did honor the discount after we showed our booking confirmation email, which was nice of them. I do wish that the rooms were not carpeted, as it was a bit stuffy and a nice little bonus would have been a little coffee packet for the coffee maker the first morning. (In the welcome binder, there was no info on where to go for groceries, and on my app publix appeared farther away than it truly was, which is within more than a short walk).

Where to begin! One word, "PERFECTION"!!! Everything & everyone was wonderful. I cannot rave enough about how magical it was to stay here. It's been a very long time since I've been on a vacation and been so relaxed and absolutely thrilled with the entire experience. Our room was an efficiency and had EVERYTHING we needed. Town was walking distance as was Publix market. Quick drive to downtown Fort Lauderdale or Pompano Beach. We are already planning our return trip for next year!
