1.0− We flew in on Friday afternoon. Earlier that morning, I informed the hotel of our expected arrival time and received a message confirming that they were waiting for us. When we arrived, the staff informed us that the hotel was overbooked and that there was no room available for us. They said they would arrange accommodation at a different hotel and cover the cost of the taxi. However, they asked us to pay for the taxi upfront and assured us that they would reimburse us after we emailed them the receipt. We sent the receipt as requested, but that is when the problems began. We were given one excuse after another: the manager did not have access to the email inbox, he was busy, or he had already gone home. This was completely unprofessional. We have still not received reimbursement for the taxi fare. I would not recommend this hotel due to the poor customer service and the way this situation was handled. Not only was the taxi fare not refunded, we have also wasted a considerable amount of our time in Paris due to the transfer.
