8.0Hotel is quite old but well maintained and clean with very helpful and friendly staff. Though it has the word onsen in its name, the hotspring was a disappointment with only one hotspring pool and nothing else, not even an external hotspring pool. But the hotel is very well located with the Tenmonkan Shopping Districr just beside it. Driving to the Sakurajima Ferry Terminal only takes five minutes, and many dining places are within a ten-min walking radius.
Good to know
The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare requires all international visitors to submit their passport number and nationality when registering at any lodging facility (inns, hotels, motels, etc. ). Additionally, lodging proprietors are required to photocopy passports for all registering guests and keep the photocopy on file.
Please note that some properties do not permit guests with tattoos to use the onsite public bathing facilities.
